Helping Aspiring Entrepreneurs Turn Ideas Into Action

Through Empire Arising’s Free Business Launch Initiative, I’ve had the opportunity to help several aspiring entrepreneurs take practical steps toward starting and growing their businesses — at no cost to them.

Support is tailored to each entrepreneur and may include:

Business name and concept development
Logo and branding support
Business cards, flyers, brochures, and other marketing materials
Marketing guidance and brainstorming
Referrals to grants, funding opportunities, and business resources
Connections to mentors and organizations that support entrepreneurs
Encouragement, problem-solving, and guidance through the startup process

A Glimpse of the Work

The example below represents just a portion of the support provided through this initiative. While some entrepreneurs have received visual branding and marketing materials, others have been supported through resource connections, business development, funding information, mentorship referrals, and startup guidance.

Because stronger businesses help build stronger communities.

Expedient Notarial Mobile Services

When Erica was launching her new mobile notary business, I had the opportunity to help bring her vision to life. I designed her logo and business card and helped give her new business a professional visual identity — at no cost to her.

This is one example of the hands-on support offered through Businesses Arising. Support may include business names and concepts, logos and marketing materials, branding ideas, connections to mentors, and information about grants, funding, and other small-business resources.

The lightning bolt came to mind as I was working on Erica’s logo and business card, and I could immediately picture the bolt becoming the tip of a pen. It reminded me of how the Empire Arising logo began: when the name Empire came to mind, I pictured the “E” at the beginning of the logo as a staircase.

Those moments—when an idea begins to take shape visually—are one of my favorite parts of helping turn a business concept into something tangible.
